Carl Howe, P.E. – Principal
Carl Howe always had an interest in construction. He worked in his brothers construction business, off and on, since he was about 12 years old.
Carls engineering education was from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. One year, however, was spent doing no engineering at all in Madrid, Spain. Carl was the first Architectural Engineering student from Cal Poly to take advantage of the study abroad program. Katie Baad, P.E. - Principal Katie Baad moved from Northern California to Los Angeles in 1995 to acquire a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering at UCLA. She began working with C. W. Howe Associates in June of 1999 at the original office in Santa Monica during her final year in college. In September of 2004, Katie became Associate Principal at C. W. Jorge Arreola, Civil Project Manager Jorge graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with such honors as a NASA Scholar, and a member of Chi Epsilon (Civil Engineering Honor Society), an organization "dedicated to the purpose of maintaining and promoting the status of civil engineering as an ideal profession."

Cristobal Paniagua, M.S., P.E. – Project Manager Cristobal Paniagua was born and raised in Anaheim, California. In 1995 he moved to Los Angeles to fulfill his childhood dream of attending U.C.L.A. He graduated from U.C.L.A. with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in June of 2000 and began working for the Structural Engineering Firm Englekirk Partners where he worked on many high profile projects such as the Hollywood and Highland Entertainment Complex in Hollywood California and the Paseo Colorado Shopping Complex in Pasadena California. Martin Guzman, P.E. – Project Engineer Martin was born and raised in Los Angeles and after high school, relocated to San Luis Obispo to enter the engineering program at Cal Poly. Martin graduated from Cal Poly, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering.
Currently attending Los Angeles Technical School to study his hobby, auto mechanics and auto body repair, he also enjoys cooking, soccer, skateboarding, snowboarding, guitar, making beer and airbrush art. | | |
Rachel Robinson, Project Engineer Rachel grew up in Corona, California and has always had a passion for structural design and modern architecture. She attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, receiving her BS in civil engineering and EIT certification in 2009. Rachel moved back to California to pursue her MS in civil engineering, with an emphasis in structural engineering, at California State University Long Beach. She will graduate in May 2011. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, and has been with C.W. Howe › Expand |

George Bogonko, Staff Engineer George earned his Bachelors of Science degree from California Polytechnic University in Pomona. He then went on to receive his Master of Science in Structural Engineering from California State University at Northridge.
George previously worked with TY Engineering in Pasadena where he performed structural design on residential improvement plans. Prior to joining TY Engineering, he was working with the City of Pasadena as an Engineering Aide in the Traffic Operations Department. He also had › Expand |

Wilson Hernandez, Staff Engineer Wilson Hernandez graduated from California State Polytechnic University Pomona earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Wilson’s work experience began with 2-1/2 years with the Los Angeles Unified School District's New Construction Branch, working on a new LA high school. He then moved to the city of Covina where he worked on street, sewer and water projects.

Danny Johanson, CAD Designer Danny has lived in Southern California his entire life. After living in San Pedro for 25 years he moved in with some family in Los Alamitos. In school he excelled in AutoCAD, various computer and artistic courses. During college he began leaning towards the Mechanical Engineering field. While looking for a job in 2004 he stumbled upon C. Cindy Howe, Office Manager Cindy Howe began working at the firm in 2005 when Carl phoned her and asked if she would work part time for the summer. After two months of being an enormous help, she was invited (there may have been some pleading also) to stay on full time in the role of office manager.
